3 Weeks and the First Long Weekend

Abby has been gone for 3 weeks this Sunday.  She is not coming home for Labor Day Weekend, but is going to Espanola with a "friend".  I think this guy is her new boyfriend.  We'll see how that goes.   Just as long as she remembers why she's there and is happy it's all good.  She still hasn't found a workstudy job and wasn't impressed with the rough draft resume I did for her.  Guess I didn't make her sound fabulous.

I got her room cleaned up, cleaned the carpet, it smells much better in there now.

The dogs miss her, Jasmine would scratch on her bedroom door in the morning, but realizes now that she's not  in there.  She'll probably give Abby the cold shoulder when she comes home.

I've been busy working and cleaning so I haven't missed her being home, but do miss her and hate it when I want her to call me and she acts like it's a chore.  Her phone is acting up, though and with AT&T buying Alltel we're waiting on the free phone that works with their system rather than paying for a new phone now.

I want to make her a card and send her a care package so I will probably use my long weekend to do that.  Not sure what to put in the package.   Leave a comment if you can think of anything I should include in the package.

  3. Joy, Thank you so much for the comment on my blog. Yes, you did give me the bp kids website. I really appreciated it! I've done so much research and gotten so much information through that site. I can't thank you enough! Alexis has a ton of diagnosis' with bipolar being the main one. She also had OCD, ADHD, and ODD. The ODD is rough. That's why she's so unwilling to accept any type of authority figure. Thank you so much for reminding me not to take everything to heart. I know you know how hard it is sometimes.

As far as what to put in a care package... I totally agree with snacks. Also those little Crystal Light packets would be good for her to stick into bottled water and would be light to ship. How about a stationery set so she can write you back? That would be really fun if she would do it!
